Unable to move fleet 1 :: Bug Reports

Topic Replies: 2

Since the new era started, I have been unable to move my #1 fleet.
It happened when I was somewhat inactive and had fleet 1 designated as a production fleet on a pre-warp.

Since the new era, my fleets were returned to my home base however fleet 1 remains a production fleet with no ability to move it.There is no input box to place co-ords despite me building a new pioneer ship and placing it in fleet 2 and actually taking the production fleet for a test drive stopping short of actually moving my shipyard.

Fleet 2 becomes a "production" fleet and fleet 1 looks like a normal fleet however even with it set up for flight (mothership, etc.) there are no boxes to input co-ords.
Do I have to reset my account to clear this bug or can admin fix it "on the fly".

Admin..if you want passwords to enter my account, I will happily give them up to avoid a reset of my account.

After a long time, the Rise of the Opressed (ROTO) finally stepped out of their mere shadow existence, and changed from an unsignificant rebellion in the western cluster to the largest empire in the entire galaxy! A new form of empire, based on equality, alien rights, pangalactic gargleblaster and fancy military parades. An empire, everyone can connect with ... an empire, that ... ah, I probably should shut up.
Nonetheless the mysterious alliance "99" is a fierce and persistent enemy for ROTO and they still could turn the tide easily.
Which alliance will turn out to be better? What do YOU think?

I couldnt find this suggestion anywhere so I hope I am being original in creating it, but its so obvious that I can hardly believe someone else hasent posted on it already..

Why not make the technologies that are available on pre-warp worlds researchable? I mean, having to fly out of the way to pick up a couple of these oddity ships is a real pain in the ass especially when their unique powers are needed. I say, make these techs researchable! Instead of or aswell as finding a "Shipyard" on pre-warp planets you would find a "Research Center" and be able to commit to learning the research, assuming your scientists are available for the task and that the tech is appropriate to your race.
If you want to keep some degree of difficulty around obtaining these ships, spread the researches around and make them scarce and give them nominal research times. Maybe have them respawn elsewhere when someone snags them up. You could also remove the permanent "Ships on planets" planets if this was implemented. Maybe make a new ship that carries an archeological research team to a pre-warp world to investigate and recover the ancient techs.. "Tech-Troopers" or something along those lines. Just a thought.

Topic Replies: 10

in order to make colony scores somehow comparable to the tactical scores (or in the long term merge both) i will implement this:

100 pts for founding a colony
250 pts for conquering a colony
4 pts for destroying one unit (mp equivalent of the transports)
50-100 pts. for bombarding for each bomber (25-50% of the mp equivalent of the bomber)

this way the colony scores somehow reflect the time and mp spend for playing strategical.

this scores will be shown on the rankings page.

future features could be :
- score for holding key colonies (equivalent to score planets ) 250 per day (same score as all score planets divided by 16 (number of key colonies))

What do you think of giving everyone access to all the wormhole corrds without having to go find a wormhole? It could be a list much like the Ships on Planets page.

And/or

You could make a map like the colony map of the wormhole planets, but include an option to show different types of plants. (ie: colonys, score planets...etc). Players whould then be able to click on a wormhole (or other planet) near them and then on the destination wormhole making a line so they can see what lies on the desired path. This wouldn't have to be a different map just a revised map.

To my friends in ST, just thought I'd let you all know that I have not been very active since Dec.
On Dec 21 I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
This is a very nasty auto-immune disorder that was started from a common cold. Many who get this disease have to spend months and months in hospital and rehab. This disease is contracted by less than 1 in 100,00 people

Me..I've been very lucky and in some cases I've been very rare to most who contract it in as I never lost my ability to walk as 99% do. Most spend anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months in hospital and I was released in 6 days.

Consequently however, I'm still a long ways from being my "normal" self.
All feeling has been lost in my hands and feet and most of my body is numb to greater or lesser degrees. I have lost approx. 20lbs since December and I'm not an overweight guy. I fatigue very easy and my nature is to go at something "full steam".
As I live in the woods of Canada and heat exclusively with wood maintaining enough strength has been a challenge and not for my girlfriend and good neighbours, it would have been next to impossible to do.

I currently suffer extreme muscular pain at various times throughout the day/night and I am on mega doses of pain killers and muscle relaxants along with a nerve pain-killer.
The good news is, I'm prepared to make a complete recovery however it is going to take months to complete...a lot like learning ST

Anyhow...just thought I'd share with my friends here and thanks designers for making such a great game that is always filled with surprises.
Best Regards,
Terry (T-2)

In returning to Spacetrace I found an awesome new look and a tutorial, thinking I already new how to play I skipped it and saw the Pirates 1 sector outside of my base and killed them. I am unable to complete the tutorial because I need to "Wait for your fleets to arrive at the space pirates planet." I have tried sending my fleets back to the coords that I found them in but there has been no change.

Thank you for helping me out.

we enhanced the search in the help-section of the game:

now you can search for ships, that have a certain modifier. you can search all these modifiers:
cloak,create,reconst,shield,destroy,kill,obliterate,return,recycle,repair,shuffle,jam,sd,blast,clone,steal,beserk,retreat,disable,evolve,restart,select,trigger_0_rec,trigger_0_destroy,trigger_0_kill,trigger_0_obli,trigger_0_multiply,trigger_0_plus,trigger_-_jam,trigger_hit,trigger_destruction,trigger_destroy,trigger_kill,trigger_obli,trigger_jam,trigger_rec,trigger_plus,trigger_multiply,trigger_repair,event,event_once,event_single

No C3 or C4 combat? :: FAQ

Ok I am still a noob so this is news to me but it seems really really flawed. It could be a bug, it could be a purposeful mechanicc but a player already stated to me that he exploits this which brings me to my point: this is exploitable which would mean to me it should be ammended or removed.

If an opponent has no C3 or C4 in their fleet when you attack them, why dooesnt your own C3 and C4 ships have a chance to act in combat? Its like penalizing a person for the OPPONENTS lack of any c3 or c4 ships. Apollos and Cyclopses act like totally useless sitting ducks and your own C4 ships dont even get the opportunity to fire their effects making them all useless wastes of MP aswell...

There are already, IMO, overpowered anti-swank ships so this seems like a moot mechanic. Can someone explain to me the justification of such a bogus battle mechanic?
