Mosquito...
Look at it this way - a mosquito can keep 3 fighters busy...
So, for example, you have 1 mosquito & 3 fighters, the enemy has 4 fighters...
You have a very big chance that 3 of his fighters will attack the mosquito, 1 - a fighter. While your 3 fighters attack his 3.
So you can loose the mosquito + 1 fighter = -2 points and the enemy 3 fighters which makes +1 point for you... In the worst case - all his fighters attack your fighters, it's a draw - you'll loose 3 and the enemy 3... Unless the enemy fires first, then you're -1 points... It's a luck-ship like most other than the basics - fighter, destroyer, cruiser;
All other ships can win you points or loose you points... |

I think tht the falmingo is for stop bigger ships (class2 and class3) and the mosquito for stop smaller ships how fighters, blockade runner, prophets, and the others class1 ships.... only I have a question how can I stop a doomstar? and which strategy can I do whit thew class2 ships of humans? |

A fighter is enught for destroy a prophet
against the doomstar is a ****** lucky thing, I think
if you got more than 2300 of attack and you can attack woth all of that the doomstar and you attack first than the doomstar you will destroy the doomstar
the other way is getting less than 2300 MP in your fleet, then when the doomstar explode you will "win" points...
the End.
LoL

@BladeTech - kamis - vs no-class1 fleet - they loose in class1 3 to 1, but in class2 excell, as well as in class3...
Hey, BaHaMuT, come on man, why didn't you ask me that question, we're allies, remember?
You can stop a doomstar with just 1 fighter , and win points with a fleet of less than 2300 MP WITHOUT the mothership in count...

if you have a pirate flagship at your base and you are attacked by like 15 fleets at the exact same time, then will you only have to fight against one of those fleets? =)

It wont cloak your base,at least it isnt supposed to. There was a bug last round where it did on some occasions.

Ok there uses are basically the same, so I will just talk about the retreat fighter.
You want to attack a planet you have about 1000 fighters and some destroyers and cruisers in one of your fleets, but there are two big fleets of over 1000 fighters on the planet. So if you just go in with fighters, the second fleet will knock the crap out of your destroyers cos the first fleet has already shot all your fighters, but with a retreat fighter, you will have saved some of your fighters for the second fleet.
I hope this makes sense, the same would apply with the evasor if there were two big class 2 fleets on the planet.

Captain Starlight, as you have played for a longer time than me, you must've seen THIS combination in action:
Troikas and Wasps
What's your opinion on it?
/P.S. I hate troikas / |

Actually, I asked Hermes the exact question the other day, the answer, I did not totally understand
I think, they would give the actual troika +5 but as the troika had not yet separated, I dont know about the modules.
Wasps were new last round, I have never seen or used the combination.

Hmmm... I thoguht so Since the modules are not created yet they should become almost 4 afterwards /in this case anyway/ - 3 standard modules + the troika itself with 5 ap.
I think it'll work good on the already created modules too...
