i got this message by a player:
Quote:
I do not know if you have seen my latest posts concerning Dominion.
It seems to me that its function is to destroy accounts that have reached 100% evolution. That is fine, I have no quarrell with its existance or purpose.
Here is my problem:
I was attacking a player who had apparently reached 100%. My fleet was ready to attack his planet and was on its way when I decided to get offline for a couple of hours. I had a DSP on his planet and I did not see Dominion before my arrival (I understand it has a cloak, again, that is not the problem). So, by the time I had logged back on to see how the battle went, I discovered that I had battled Dominion. I believe that it is a necessary being in Spacetrace. However, I believe that it should have no effect on players that stumble upon it. I am no where near 100% evolution and I get 4000 points taken away from me because I stumbled upon Dominion during an assault on another player's planet. This is the problem. I believe it unfair for players that have not reached 100% evolution to be affected by the Dominion.

Thanks for listening, I do not know what can be done about this, I hope that there is something, please reply to me to let me know what you think.

this should be solved somehow

Don't know if this should be solved .
You have to watchout if dominion shows up you better leave
Most times when Dominion is comming the player took all his fleets away from his base , so there is an empty base. If you decide to attack an empty base this is the risk you take

the prob is the enormous speed the dominion travels at... this gives you a very short pre-warning-time

well most players don't keep fleets at their base when they reach 100% so it is a risk you take attacking an empty base . Instead off taking an easy 1000 points you lose points .
I say don't change it , deserves base killers right for taking empty bases

I believe that the Admin has altered the Dominion so that player ships cannot defeat it.
And "base killers" are just playing the game. If a player is smart enough to empty a base of ships and then still have another wave availiable to take out some buildings, they deserve to be able to destroy that player's base.
But an invincible ship such as the Dominion is fine to have to destroy fully evolved accounts, but it should have no effect on low evolution accounts.

No "base killers" aren't just playing the game they are killing the fun in game for the player they attack ! ! what about 2 days no able to build and fight ?? you lose interest in the game when this happens
you should only kill a base when you have a war against that player not for easy points . so if you get attacked by the dominion when you take out an empty base from a player who reached 100% your bad luck .
Learn to build better fleets so you can fight fleets instead .
We are losing to many players due to base killers and NooB bashers

i don't mind that people attack empty bases if you can't handle that fact i suggest you dleet your account and stop this game but that's just me and if you don't want an empty base leave a 1 1 1 defense

Connor,
Correct we do indeed have alot of base bashers in our neighbourhood taking out my base lol

Midnight, T2, Plasmifie and Big Mama lol

Scoring though, i understand the need of the last 3 as they are PFIU and they are upset because everytime they attack me one after another they lose more points i just drop the odd attack on Tee2 now and again to keep it fair by takeing out his base

Midnight, well to say about him he is just one of those risk takers, he builds good fleets but my fleet always outsmarts him and whoever attacks afterwards

Connor: you want to tell me "bad luck?" Well I can say the same to you. Base killing is legal, as is nOOb bashing. No matter how unethical you think that is, it doesn't change the fact that there are no rules against it, if there were, there would be no seperating the good players from the bad. It takes a few attempts at playing this game to get good at it, that's the way any game is. SO DEAL WITH BASE KILLING AND NOOB BASHING. The Dominion is controlled by the administration, they have an obligation to make the game as fair as they can, therefore, looking at Dominion as a speciallized account, it should not be allowed to have effects beyond its specialized purpose.

Oh, and for the record. I do not condone noob bashing, it is unethical and I am against it. I do not kill bases of inexperienced players, the only base that I have attempted to kill is that of Fenix, Praetor of the Planet Auir. That's right Fenix: I am Raen of Archangelion. I have no clue who you are on the forums and it doesn't really matter to me. I just wanted to clear up the things that I do and do not participate in on Spacetrace.

My Preferences:
nOOb Bashing= Bad
Base Killing= Fair (not necessarily good, but it is fair)

Evans you really are silly. I busted your base cos you busted mine twice. You busted mine cos I busted your swank fleet, off planet btw.

As to being outsmarted, HUH?? As to the others, good luck to em, you must be popular.

I wish you would do it while I was at home. Seems every time I go off somewhere and keep minimum fleet at home.....yup...here comes Evans.
I consider us even ....more base hits will result in more retailiation.
Yea.... I lose a few points but ...knowledge is seldom cheap.

Hey I don't mind if you bash bases if you think it is cool OK by me but you can score more points on a fleet hit then from a base .
and it is not difficult to kill a base build some Pengs or Kami's and go in , you won't learn much from these attacks . And I know I have been killing bases in my first 2 Evo's tought it was great to score but I learned from other players how to build nice set ups and even score more on fleet hits .
Don't wasted your time on base killing learn some nice set ups your self and score

Killing a empty base of someone whos 100% evo is stupid, so what if you get some points, he is likely not to even see it. Bashing noob is a good strategy to earn points, this is a war game, but it is also a game about being a good ruler and if you bash noobs they could later kill you together. I say you do a fair fight.

and werent we waiting for someone that kill spammers like u¨?
In this game you cant be a spammer..this is an advice, you will be killed if you are not respected in the forum
You can't destroy a base of a player with 100% of evolution cuz he has NO base.
Read the manual and etc first plz

also, i finally got a 4th member! it's been a while since i had more than 3 members

the good old days araith, zyn, and i

back to the point, ya i think all people not at 100% evo should be immune to dominion so we don't lose massive points
