we discussed the balance of the ships!

( we are learned a lot due this round )

the prefered tactics is mostly based on class 1 ships. We wanna balance it. here are our suggestions, pls post your opinion ( as it is very valuable )

class 1:

strike fighter - mp=4 or mp=3
holo carrier - mp=550 (or it deployes the holo ships above itself (order of battle) )
kamikaze - destroys 3 own ships (right now it destroyes 2 own ships)

new:
penguin - mp=1 ; 2/1 ; is destroyed after combat in any case

class 2:

destroyer - mp=8
eagle - 3/10
troika - mp=15
disable ship - sets all class one ships to 0/1 ( no special abilities ) - still in discussion

all ships that are not listed: mp -10%

new:

camouflage vessel - mp=1 ; 0/0 ( is only usefull to fool deep scan probes )

class 3:

cruiser - mp=60
warcruiser - mp=95 ; 0/200
shock wave cruiser - mp=80 ; 0/200 ; 30 enemy and 30 own ships get 2-5 damage

all ships that are not listed: mp -20%

new:
revenge cruiser - 0/100 ; 150 mp ; destroyes 100 class 1 ships (retroactive )

class 4:

time slipper: mp=1000 ; 250/250

new:
camouflage bulk - mp=10 ; 0/0 ( is only usefull to fool deep scan probes )

sounds good...

but the camouflage bulk should be in class3 instead of class4 - otherwise to many fleety will have a "doomstar"

ps: i think big changes in the mid of this round should not be done...

good stuff!

my further suggestions:

*mail spy probe
*production spy probe
*production sabotage probe (stops the production or slows it down)
*mobile transwarp-gate-building vessel
*research steal ship
*trans-warp-gate sabotage probe (disables the gates for a while or decreases the factor)
*jam probe ( scrambles the scan-data for a while)
*special forces ship ( decreases the manpower of a planet for a week)
*instable low budget reconstructor : destroyes class 1 and 2 but reconstructs class 3 and 4 (both players)

no sabotage probes, i think the space and organisation is hard enough allready...

destroying other probes would be ok as this is some kind of self-defence...

please vote in the poll on top of this page, if you think it's ok to change the values of some ships right now, or you want that to wait until next round (maybe because some essential strategies depend on the current settings for the ships)
it's only about the ships discussed here in this topic.

no, check the tec-tree, we found out they were boring
it's only like "all or nothing"
if the enemy has more fighters than you , then all your strike fighters get destroyed, and if you have more, then all enemy fighters are destroyed. it is not predictable, so we spared it out this time.
but there will be a substitude soon
