How come, when moving fleets in tandem, I can sometimes move ships from one fleet to the other, and at other times I get a message saying they do not reside in the same sector? |

maybe you are moving them while trying to change the fleet compositions ? Although they are in the same sector they can't interact each other while moving |

the coords are stored in parts of 100th
so maybe the one fleet is just a tiny bit faster or maybe you started that one a few seconds before the other one.
you can only move them, when they are at exact the same place at the same time |

Thats I thought, in the cases i refer to, I have been able to move ships at one point in the journey, and at other times in the journey have not been able to. When I said they were travelling in tandem I meant that they set off from the same place at the same time, to the same destination, and the swapping of ships is because of updated intelligence etc. etc.
So is it a bug, or a glitch? |

I have never been doing that stuff while moving two fleets .. you can start them at exactly the same time .. but isn't it unnatural to change fleet compositions while they are flying with warp 5, in a warp field ? It should be impossible |

I too have changed comp of a fleet inflight and yes I have sometimes encountered the same issue of error. sometimes waiting a few min and try again and it works suspect a server timing issue. server moves all fleet 1 units .01 moves then all fleet 2 then fleet 3 etc.. and your order hits after fleet one but befor fleet 2 moved up with it... Just a guess I don't know...

I think it should be impossible ... how can you change fleet composition when you are in a warp field ?? That's unrealistic .. So it you should not be able to do that while moving |

Hey I just logged of and rebooted my computer and now i see one of my fleets is 20 seconds behind the others. How can this be?
Yes they did start at the same time. |
