i made them black and white and very low ink usage (i inverted the pictures) so they are mostly white and very printer friendly !
they have the standart trading card size and fit into the standart sleeves. |

(i know someone will say: there is an online version, it called spacetrace, so dont bother saying that, you know what i mean. _________________

There will be no online version, because we design the card game for another reason.
The card game is a simplified version of spacetrace. You can play it everywhere with your friends.
It is fast paced (5 to 15 minutes), but it has still tactical deepness and it "feels" mostly like the real spacetrace.
Maybe your friends do not know the computergame. Maybe they try out spacetrace.org. That is the main purpose of the card game. Anyway, i play it daily now and it is really fun!
Another point is: we will make a premium print edition, with nice graphics. It could be a very interesting product for many spacetrace players. The players could spend some money to get something really cool. Much better than a coffee mug |

What a cool idea! I always thought that ST would translate rather well into a card game. (If only some movement properties could be added, it could become a card game/board game combo )
Im going to try to play a game soon, and I will certainly buy a set of premiums when available |

the movement of fleets is already simulated by motherships. There is no xyz-movement but you can decide to attack with both fleets or only one fleet. at least this tactic possibilities are simulated similar to real spacetrace.
But we need to keep it simple. The card game is meant as a portal to ST.
can we make a card of you archilles ? that would be cool |

i have already one card in mind.maybe you wish to choose a picture.
attention . today we made major updates. if you downloaded a older version , but you have not printed it out, i recommnend to download the new stuff.
we tested it a lot and it is really balanced and much fun!
do not forget : the spacetrace url in the bottom is part of the card. maybe it will bring talented new players to the online game some day |

the problem with appollos , cyclopses , spectre is solved by a extra rule (see above):
Quote: | preemptive strike: the following effect is done before the normal shots are resolved. This way opponent ships may be destroyed and will not shoot. |

the rules we wrote down here are for the case that one person prints out the cards and wants to play with someone.
sure the real idea is, that every player builds his/her own deck that you use in competition with your opponent. you can use all cards that exist, but in one play-deck there may be only 4 of the same card. the 4 basic ship cards and the basic reinforcement card are exceptions, you can have as many as you want of them in your deck.
and the special "commander"-cards may be only used one in each deck |

I played this game now for several hour-lasting sessions and i must say that it is much fun and very balanced. I played it against a good st player and he was mostly winning (we exchanged our card piles to be sure ). In one game his ms had 990 damage and mine had 0, but he won!
This is really a thrilling and interesting game. I a bit dissappointed that noone played it. Maybe one or another should have another try, it's really cool ! |

Yoy should make them in Dutch, as when i played it with my little brother, he didn't get anyting of it,or the rules. Also, you really should make a premium version, as this Black and White version are kinda sucky. Maybe u could sell it on Cafépress... _________________

i know that the test cards aren't that beautiful... they are made to be printer-friendly. They fit the standart trading card sleeves. I just put them into the sleeves with some other card behind it. It just works and it's fun enough imho. |

cant we just use the ship pictures from the manual and impliment them into the cards...i think it would save time effort and confusion _________________ "Although the constant shadow of certain death looms over everyday, the pleasures and joys of life can be so fine and deeply affecting that the heart is nearly stilled by astonishment" - Dean R Koontz |
