we think the apollo cruiser and cyclops are kind of overpowered. but instead of making them less effective we should better invent one counter for each race.
the erays have the evaporator.
can you think of more interesting counter ships?
i had one idea , that is not very interesting (but effectful):
human - class 3 - 800 mp - obliterates all class 3 in both fleets - sd |

how about this idea...
we give the Apollo to humans, so that apollos and cyclops cant be used together. thus eliminating the swank fleet alltogether. cyclops and apollos are balanced if you cant use them together.
the problem with swanks is that their most effective use is against new players. adding counters against swank will not help new players since they can not recognise the swank and wont know about the counters.
more experienced players can counter or avoid a swank even without adding new ships. |

on the 5-race-circle you will always have at least one race that will have access to a 2 ship combo... (it will cost some valuable research days though)
ok.. we can give it to the humans , but some cool counter ships are mandatory
p.s. aren't you a nanite player

you shouldn't ... because your suggestion is good... we give the apollo to the humans (it sounds human anyway) and we give a good counter to both of the opposing races of nanite - eray and kazuuula (eray has a good counter already)
now give me a ship that counters the apollo in a most kazuuulian way
(roach/cucaracha - 10/10 - 16 mp - trigger_destruct : jam 4 enemy class 3 ships - remember: a step on a roach will annoy even the big guys!) |

i shall miss the jackpot, the swank often is.
dont think the swnk as it is, is such a disbalace...however, the new balance is fine too.
