steamrunner (class 3 ship)

if there is a fleet in the sector you are heading towards this ship type will stop 1 sector away from the arrival point while the rest of the ships continue on to the sector. once your fleet in the sector attacks a fleet or is attacked by one the steamrunners will then fight the battle 1 sector away launching high energy torpedos at their targets.

researchtime: 1 d 12 h
buildingtime: 12 h


technology: e-rays, humans, nanites
needed research:
fanatic warfare

battle details:
multiplies AP and LP by 0/0 of 2 ships of any ship-type in the enemy fleet in class 1;2;3 but some ships are immune against destruction
battlemessage: "steamrunner destroyed ... ships"
(battle engine syntax: destroy,enemy,2,1;2;3,all,steamrunner destroyed)

seems good to me, it supports the ships in the fleet in battle and cannot be attacked unless an enemy fleet comes to it. tricky.

realy tricky.
But of course, those steamrunners can't establish warp for em self.
It's not bad,
but lower LP to 100-150

I'm afraid that this ship won't work. You cannot create a fleet outside of your base.

It should be triggerd some how, but if he leaves that sector, those ships couldn't follow him, nor fight from larger distance then 1 sector (100 ly), something like long range artiljery, but if u attack them in their sector (0 ly) then they can't fight

followed by a mothership to pick up the steamrunners

This ship destroys 2 class 3 ships, is invincible and costs 71 mp!!!

LoL quite good battle synthax... But, I can't imagine the way a fleet one sector away can affect a battle... It'll require major changes in the game

But, what about sending that fleet Tofu proposed, to the Black Hole... It'll be a huge massacre

Move the Shipyard to an Pre-Warp World, but of course near the Black Hole...
To use it like an Long Range attack ship...
And make a lot of point without losing it

but you would still need to send in a fleet to start the battle. the steamrunner only attacks if your fleet in that sector is attacked.

well there sould be some kinda distruction trigger!
Like hevy artilery, when u caught them with infratry or tanks, they are doomed!
so like if u kill one of those, all others are destroyed as well
