locked probe

this probe will follow your fleet, with the same speed. by building you can choose which fleet it will follow. the probe has a scanradius of 5 sectors and will work the same as the deep scan probe and the vessel scan. with this probe you can fly around, looking for targets.

not in the discription, the programm says i must choose a races, so i did. but this probe is for all races.

scanradius: 5

speed: warp 5

I think it should be added to ure fleet as a ship.
But well it is a very powerfull tool, dunno what it should cost maybe.

Yes, if you use a timeslipper, the probe will go faster. Just what steven told. Is a sort ship.

If this ship can travel the same a fleet does, it should cost a probe and some mp also i think

I should be a class 2 ship operating with probe abilities.
Scan radius is 3 not 5
MP is 20
ap/lp is 0/10
What do you think?

Another possibility is to let a scout ship carry it.

No, not yet.

@ Admin, what do you think about this probe? Is it possible to programm this? If yes and you like it, would you add to ST? Many people likes this probe.

But last word and changes is to you.

An other and mabey better name for this probe is "radar probe"

Indeed. This sounds like a great invention to me... I'd love to have one in my fleet.

Lets compare the locked probe with the dsp:

-It scans the same way as a dsp and has the same scanning radius.
-It costs as much as the dsp (one probe slot)
-Its speed is compareable to that of a dsp (warp 9 with scouts, transwarp 15 with twg)

So far so balanced...

-It also scans like a vessel scan!
-It can fly around!!!

This is absolutely not balanced and it will simplify spacetrace to much (good probing is the most important aspect of st).

DSP is the same as VSP, but movable.

I think the ship/probe is quite balanced, considering that you have to pay extra mp for the usage, and easily destroy than a probe (which is impossible to destroy).

I like it, it will give you good overvieuw, maybe it can be implemented as a radarship, that way it can be destroyed, and it takes manpower, that may bring some more balance to it if needed.
I LIKE IT!!!
