How about allowing rebuild of defense array?
How about allowing upgrade of defense array?
Say by 50% to :
defensive array (boosted)
a defense system that destroys up to 300 class 1, 60 class 2 and 6 class 3 ships and 1 class 1. in each class fight it gets one attack, so it varies in the damage depending on the number of class battles.
lifepoints: 750
How about if it gets trashed you rebuild but only at half power initially.
defensive array
a defense system that destroys up to 100 class 1, 20 class 2 and 2 class 3 ships. in each class fight it gets one attack, so it varies in the damage depending on the number of class battles.
lifepoints: 250
Then, say after 48 hours, you can up grade to normal strength, then after 72 hours you can upgrade to the 'boosted' version.
The boosted version would require some tech upgrade to work at the higher level, maybe improved computer theory. Better Targeting Computers means a higher kill number.

What if there is some kind of defense station, 1/2 or 1/4 of def. a-ray. But it have 1000 mp. And that mp is provided by planet goverment, for defense of the planet. Like you don't have to pay in MP, but those points affect the game. You can gain or lose it, dependes do you attack or defend. So as you like, it can prove usefull, but it can make planet even bigger fish...
There shold be a research for this, something like large defensive systems.
Idea.

The Defensive Array is for newbie protection
So no one idea about Defensive Array will be accepted.
Sorry, but the defensive array is too powerful to be rebuilded.
